The school day is designed to ensure that students maximise learning opportunities whilst also having the chance to relax, recharge and socialise with friends during breaks and lunchtimes.
The school day outlined below has been amended to take into account our risk assessment for Covid-19 and a new version will be in place for September 2021. This will have the same times for the starts and ends to the school day.
Our behaviours during the school day are underpinned by the Swanwick Hall values of inclusivity, respect and resilience and designed to meet the school’s mission of providing students with opportunities and experiences to enhance their life choices, and thus help them to make a positive contribution to the world that we share.
From September 2021 we will be implementing the Framework for Consistency and Collegiality: what a school day looks, sounds and feels like for Swanwick Hall students and staff. This framework has been developed during this school year and draws together all of our best practice in one document to ensure that we build back stronger together from the disrupted educational experience that students have had over the past 18 months. Staff have received training and trialled the framework in the summer term 2021 and all students will receive induction when they return in September.
