Our Houses
At #TeamSwanwick, we firmly believe in ‘no one is bigger than the team’ and our House System plays a key role in instilling a culture of teamwork in our students as well as fostering a sense of identity and belonging within the team.
All students are ‘sorted’ into Houses when they join us in Year 7 or Year 12 (or during an in-year admission) with a choice of Beech, Oak, Sycamore and Willow. In true democratic fashion, our students and staff voted for these House names and these House names were suggested because these types of trees all grow on our beautiful 22 acres of land.
Our staff are involved as well with each member of staff being allocated a House and participating in a House competition every half-term. Finally, do not worry, because our families do not miss out! Any siblings at Swanwick Hall School are placed in the same House meaning that their family can be involved too!
