Thirteen Swanwick hall School students joined with the other Trust schools to celebrate Earth Day at Lea Green on Monday 22nd April.
After the inspiring key note speech by Leena Norms, our students came together with students from the other trust schools to learn about a range of Earth themed skills. Groups created habitats for solitary bees, made wild flower seed bombs, Orienteered around the grounds of Lea Green, used Steel and flint to start campfires, explored the environment through touch using the nightline and witnessed closeup the beauty of the owls and hawks that flew from their gauntleted hands.
The day has inspired a lot of environmental thought and the need for direct action to occur in our day to day lives so that positives actions can happen. The students represented Swanwick Hall brilliantly and we were immensely proud of all their contributions and the positive attitude they showed all day. Well done everyone!
