At Swanwick Hall School, we are proud of the support that we are able to provide for students at all stages of their learning journey. Students in Y9 are about to embark on the important next stage of their learning journey by considering the subjects that they will be studying over the next two years at KS4.

Our KS4 curriculum has been designed to ensure that students follow a broad and balanced range of subjects, which together will provide students with powerful knowledge and skills as well as a strong set of qualifications. There are two parts to the curriculum; the core and the optional subjects.

All parents/carers should have received a copy of the KS4 Curriculum Handbook and students have had an Options assembly in school; both of these can be downloaded here.

Year 9 Options Assembly

During PSHE lessons, in the fortnight beginning 28th February, students will have the opportunity to watch a series of ‘options taster videos’; there will be a video for each of the options subjects. These will give students information about the courses and provide them with a taste of what a lesson in that subject might be like. These videos have been placed below, so that you can watch them in your spare time.

Please select the subjects that you are interested in to access the taster session. For YouTube videos, click on the ‘CC’ icon on the menu bar at the bottom of the video to access the subtitles (if necessary).
