The Drama curriculum is focused on the knowledge, skills and concepts of the art form. Students will be introduced to a wide range of dramatic texts and forms and the interpretation of them will be integral. Students will understand the cultural and historical context in which the drama originates and is performed. It allows experimentation of different ways to perform and record drama, as well as the introduction of performance styles. Improvisation techniques allow greater insight into the dramatic potential of stimuli. Students learn how to speak and move with fluency and clarity of intention. There are formal presentations of developed work using student’s own explorations of ideas as well as the application of Practitioner styles and techniques.
